- Add 2mm bleed. Run backgrounds and photos 2mm past the edge on every side, so there are no white slivers after trimming.
- Keep text in the safe area. Keep words and logos at least 5mm in from the finished edge.
- Use 300dpi images. At the size they’ll print. Pictures saved from websites and social media are usually too small.
- Save as a PDF. With fonts embedded. A high-resolution JPG or PNG works too.
- Use CMYK if you can. RGB files are fine, but very bright screen colours can print slightly duller.
- Proofread it. We’ll flag anything that looks wrong, but you know your details best, so check names, numbers and dates.

Artwork questions
What file types can I send?
A print-ready PDF is best. A high-resolution JPG or PNG works too.
Can I design it in Canva?
Yes. Set the design to the finished size, turn on Show print bleed, and download it as PDF Print with Crop marks and bleed ticked.
What if my file isn’t quite right?
We check every file before printing. If something needs fixing, we’ll tell you first and help put it right.
I don’t have any artwork. Can you design it?
Yes. Our in-house designers can create it for you and email a proof to approve. See our design service.
How do I send my file?
Upload it on the product page when you order, or email it to shop@plus2print.com afterwards with your order number.
